14-year-old boy missing after boat crash at Buckhorn Reservoir

Sims, N.C. — The Wilson Police department said Sunday that Wilson Fire/Rescue, several volunteer Fire Departments, and Law Enforcement agencies are searching Buckhorn Reservoir for a 14-year-old missing after a boat crash.

Police said the boy was ejected from a boat and is currently unaccounted for.

The crews are currently searching the reservoir using multiple methods.

The reservoir is temporarily closed to the public while police conduct an investigation.

Police have not revealed the nature of what led to the initial crash.
