14-year-old drowns in Johnston County

Johnston County, N.C. — According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, a 14-year-old drowned Tuesday.

The sheriff’s office said they received a call around 4:30 p.m. about a teenager drowning in a pond near Davis Mill Road and Highway 70.

It is unclear at this time the circumstances that led to the drowning.

The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate.
