Amber Alert issued for 1-year-old Randolph County girl

CLIMAX, N.C. (WTVD) — An Amber Alert was issued overnight for a 1-year-old girl out of Randolph County who was reportedly abducted.

Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said Ava Lee Pierce was taken by Roxanne Michelle Cromer Parson, 34.

The official Amber Alert does not state how or if the two are related. However, when NC Department of Public Safety added pictures to the Amber Alert, Parson’s picture was labeled as “mother.”

The pair were last seen on Benny Lineberry Road south of Climax.

Investigators said Pierce has brown hair, blue eyes and a birth mark on her abdomen.

Parson is approximately 5-foot-4, 120 pounds. She also has brown hair and blue eyes; plus, she has sores on her face.

Anyone with information about either Pierce or Parson is asked to call 911 or Randolph County Sheriff’s Office at 336-318-6699.
