Durham, N.C. — A student at Bethesda Elementary School is going national for his spelling prowess.
Frank Dumas is going to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
A post from the school district’s Facebook page shows Bethesda Principal Dr. Shaneeka Moore-Lawrence sharing a Facetime call with Frank, congratulating him for the accomplishment.
Dumas is one of more than 200 regional winners. Dumas was also a winner at the Bethesda spelling bee on February 23.
The event is held in Washington, D.C. on June 2.
