Norfolk, Va. — Authorities evacuated more than 100 passengers from a cruise ship in Virginia after it caught on fire.
Students from a kindergarten and fifth grade class were among the roughly 110 people on board the Spirit of Norfolk Tuesday.
Firefighters towed the vessel to naval station Norfolk and used foam to help put out the remaining flames.
They say the flames were mostly on the interior of the ship.
There are no reports of injuries.
The coast guard is working to make sure the more than 5,000 gallons of diesel on board does not pollute the water.
