Nice summer weekend with highs in the low 90s…just a couple degrees above our average high for this time of the year. The mountains will get scattered storms next two days if you were heading west but the beaches will be awesome!
More clouds around tomorrow but still seasonably hot, then rain chances become likely late Monday as a front move into the area. This time of year, fronts sometimes wash out before moving through the state, but this one should make it to our south, making for a cloudy and cooler day Tuesday. Rain in the morning Tuesday, then just mostly cloudy in the afternoon.
Forecast challenge is where will the front stall, and will it drift back north Wednesday for more showers. Best solution for now is go with a low chance for a shower Wednesday in the Triangle and higher chances in the Sandhills…closer to the front.
Warming up again Thursday and Friday but no big heat waves coming anytime soon.
Have a good weekend!
