Morrisville, N.C. — Spirit Airlines moved on Friday from terminal two to terminal one at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport during a busy travel day.
Many passengers who spoke to WRAL News said they had no idea this change was taking place. Some even missed their flights because they didn’t know which terminal to be at.
“My boarding pass said terminal two, and I went to terminal two, but then I was told I had to go to terminal one after waiting in a long line,” said traveler Reyin Jasmine. “I’m trying not to cry.”
Jasmine is now going to have to find a place to stay for the day until she can book a new flight.
Passengers say that there was no proper notice and they did not see any signage to suggest that they were at the wrong terminal.
The move was supposed to happen in 2020 but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Spirit Airlines is moving to make room for two new international carriers that will be coming to terminal two in May.
