RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Tech jobs remains a bright spot across the Triangle employment sector even as overall demand begins to slow under the pressure of inflation and other issues with a surge in interest rates only adding to the downward trend. Work in the Triangle, a Wake County Economic Development program, regularly shares new openings through its Twitter feed, @WorkTriangleNC. The program launched a job board on its website earlier this year, with 10,258 active openings as of Sunday afternoon. Of those, 8,330 are technology jobs, 1,132 are advanced manufacturing positions, 338 are in cleantech and 458 are in life sciences. The overall jobs opening number for tech has been stable over the last three months, ranging from a low of 9,013 in mid-April to 10.681 a week ago. Every Tuesday, Work in the Triangle’s #TriangleTuesdays hashtag lists hot jobs in the area.
